CBD Study

A randomized, open label, 4-way crossover, pharmacokinetic study to compare a novel CBD formulation to a marketed CBD formulation in healthy adults ages 19-55 under both fed and fasted conditions.

The study will involve a total of 9 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, Ontario) over an 8-20 week period. If you complete the study in its entirety, compensation will be $2325 for your time and travel to the clinic.

We are investigating the pharmacokinetics (absorption and break down in the body) and safety of a novel cannabidiol (CBD) formulation (capsule form) compared to a marketed formulation (oil form), in healthy adults after a single dose. The pharmacokinetics of these CBD products will be investigated when taken with food (fed) and without food (fasted).

Only a limited amount of spots available.

You may be eligible if you are:

Between 19 to 55 years old

Have a BMI between 18.0 to 29.9 kg/m2

In good general health

NOT taking prescription any medications

Willing to follow all restrictions throughout the study

CBD Study

Participation will include:

Oral consumption of study products (oil or capsule formulation)
Consumption of standardized high-fat/high-calorie breakfast (contains pork and dairy)
Multiple blood draws
9 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, ON), 4 visits will be up to 16 hours
