Apex Trials Statement of Commitment to Accessibility (AODA)

Apex Trials is committed to providing a barrier-free environment for all stakeholders, including our clients, employees, job applicants, suppliers, and any visitors who may enter our premises, access our information, or use our services. As an organization, we respect and uphold the requirements set forth under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, and its associated regulations.

Apex Trials understands that we have a responsibility for ensuring a safe, dignified, and welcoming environment for everyone. We are committed to ensuring our organization’s compliance by incorporating accessibility legislation into our policies, procedures, equipment requirements, training, and best practices. We will review these policies and practices annually, as organizational changes occur, or in anticipation of compliance deadlines. In addition, we will strive to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities in a timely and effective manner.

Providing an accessible and barrier-free environment is a shared effort, and we are committed as an organization to working with the necessary parties to make accessibility for all a reality.

Communication

Apex Trials will consider a person’s disabilities in the use and execution of their communication. Training is provided to all staff on how to interact with people and various disabilities.

Assistive Devices

Any employee, client and or visitor to Apex Trials is welcome to bring their assisted device into the facility. Apex Trials supports assisted devices.

Support Persons

Any visitor to Apex Trials who may be accompanied by a support person for the healthy and safety of the individual and the company is supported by Apex Trials.

Service Animals

People with disabilities may be accompanied by a guide dog or other service animal on the parts of our premises that are open to the public or other third parties, except if the service animal is excluded by law. If a service animal is excluded by law from our premises, we will provide other resources or supports to enable the person with disabilities to access our Services.

Website accessibility

We are actively working towards making Apex Trials website accessible to all different disabilities.

Training for Staff

All Apex Trials staff are provided with an AODA course within onboarding and the course. training and policies will be continuously updated in providing support to anyone with a disability, visiting, and working at Apex Trials.
