A Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled, Crossover Study to Investigate The Effect of Digestive Enzyme Supplementation on Postprandial Responses to a High-Macronutrient Meal in Healthy Adult Participants Ages 18-60

The study will involve a total of 5 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, Ontario) over an 8 week period. If you complete the study in its entirety, compensation will be $890 for your time and travel to the clinic.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of digestive enzyme supplementation on lipid, carbohydrate, and protein digestion, gastrointestinal symptoms, and gastrointestinal-related quality of life compared to a placebo.

Only a limited amount of spots available.

You may be eligible if you are:

Between 18 to 60 years old

In good general health

Have a BMI between 18.5 to 29.9 kg/m² (inclusive)

Willing to follow all restrictions throughout the study

Able to consume a high-macronutrient meal (contains pork) within 20 minutes

Digestive Enzyme Study

Participation will include:

5 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, ON) over an 8-week period
Oral consumption of study product in capsule format
Attend 2 longer visits (up to 8 hours) with multiple blood draws
Consuming a high-macronutrient meal in-clinic within 20 minutes

Compensating up to $890
